We do offer the flexibility and technology to support remote work from home, during travel, etc. Currently, all employees are offered the flexibility to work from home up to one day per week, though this is subject to change.

Junior Graphic Designer
Reports to: Visual Communications Manager
Overview:
The Junior Graphic Designer is an exciting position within OLIN with opportunities for creative expression, collaboration, and growth. They are the producer for visual branded content developed by OLIN’s Communications Department and will have wide-ranging opportunities to work alongside OLIN’s landscape architecture design staff and leadership. Daily and weekly variety in project and assignment responsibilities in this role make this position ideal for candidates looking to explore and advance their own design sensibilities and expertise.
The ideal candidate is a highly creative professional, a self-starter, and enthusiastic learner and collaborator. Working under the direction and guidance of OLIN’s Visual Communications Manager the Junior Graphic Designer conceptualizes, develops, and implements printed, digital, web, and other collateral to support OLIN’s brand and achieve its marketing, communications, and business development goals. Specific projects include, but are not limited to: proposals, brochures, presentations, leave-behinds, award submissions, video projects, e-mail campaigns, and material for OLIN’s website and social media outlets. The candidate will assist in the management and curation of OLIN’s extensive multimedia library.
Responsibilities:
We’re looking for a creative designer who will handle a wide range of projects, including:
- Graphic design and production of printed collateral developed within the marketing department, including but not limited to proposals, brochures, presentations, advertisements, and digital campaigns, with direction and input from the Visual Communications Manager, Senior Communications Manager, Partners, and senior design staff
- Continual upkeep of Open Asset, OLIN’s multimedia library
- Indexing of all photography, including third-party photographers
- Regular upkeep and updating of OLIN’s website, particularly primary/homepage images, project pages, personnel pages, awards, and publications
- Continual stewardship of OLIN’s brand, keeping a finger on the pulse of current trends and best practices of visual representation and bringing to the table fresh ideas for promotional efforts, collateral, and overall identity
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or Architecture
- 1-3 years’ relevant experience in a fast-paced professional environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills—ability to translate abstract ideas into cogent design approaches
- Ability to balance and prioritize multiple deadlines
- Ability/experience with working under differing management styles and balancing opinions
- Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator o Experience with Adobe Premier a plus
- Strong skills / fluency in PowerPoint and Google Slides; knowledge of other presentation programs
- Experience with Open Asset or other image/asset management programs a plus
- Web design experience, knowledge coding a plus
- Experience in photography and/or videography a plus
