Job Description:
Starr Restaurants is presently conducting a regional
search for a skilled Graphic Designer to join our Creative Services team at our
office in Old City. This is a full-time hourly position that comes with

so much more! The Graphic Designer supports the creative execution and output
of all digital and email deliverables for the Marketing & Creative
department, based in Philadelphia. The Graphic Designer is responsible for assisting
with production on revolving projects such as email campaigns, social assets,
and print collateral. He or she will be responsible for balancing their own
workload and priorities for all STARR Restaurants, while maintaining file
organization, implementing process and best process, and working quickly in a
fast-paced environment. In collaboration with the STARR digital marketing team,
the Graphic Designer will execute production work and maintain restaurant style
guides for consistency in branding across all marketing channels.
Responsibilities:
Email
– Design,
layout, set-up, link and test for all emails
– Responsible
for email quality assurance process
– Ensure industry
standards are met across multiple platforms including mobile & desktop.
– Fluent in Emma
for email distribution marketing to upload current databases, design &
maintain web sign-up forms, & create appropriate lists for reaching
segmented audiences.
Graphic Design
– Concept,
planning & execution of visual design assets for restaurants, email
marketing, promotional materials, corporate design, holiday & social
campaigns.
– Stakeholder in
Production design review process to maintain consistency within individual
brand identities.
Project Management
– Prioritize
workflow timeline, asset management, and approvals to meet output deadlines for
multiple projects at any given time.
– Coordinate
restructuring of output when priorities and deadlines change.
– Coordinate
with vendors to facilitate materials needed for promotions & events.
Marketing
– Contributes to marketing projects including original copywriting, edits to planned marketing concepts, social strategy and brand awareness initiatives.
Qualifications:
– Proficiency
in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign – and Photoshop
techniques, tools, and shortcuts.
– Proficiency
in PowerPoint and Keynote for creating decks and presentations
– Strong
typography skills required.
– Fluent
in HTML for email distribution and digital creative campaigns.
– Knowledge
of best web and mobile practices including file specs, appropriate sizing, and
slicing
– Motion
Graphics skills a plus.
– Photography
knowledge a plus.
– Knowledge
of UX/web design with focus on user testing best practices a big plus
– Excellent
organizational and time management skills required, with an ability to
prioritize and meet deadlines.
– A
passion and genuine interest in digital media, social media, content and
technology.
