Position: Part Time Instructor/Adjunct Faculty Member in Graphic Design

Job Description:
Rutgers University–Camden is looking for a forward thinking part-time graphic design professor to teach one or two courses during the fall semester within the undergraduate BA program, with the possibility of teaching subsequent semesters. Rutgers–Camden is a designated Minority Serving Institution (MSI) ensuring increased access to higher education for low-income and minority students, so an ideal candidate should have an interest in serving underrepresented and marginalized communities. Rutgers–Camden is located directly across the Delaware River and minutes away from central Philadelphia.

Responsibilities:
Teaching upper level graphic design course(s)–for Fall of 2022—GD IV

Qualifications:
• Applicants should hold an MFA or equivalent degree preferably in graphic design, and have a record of professional practice.
• Recent MFA graduates are encouraged to apply, no college-level teaching experience necessary though preferred.
• A successful candidate should have a strong conceptual approach, an interest in broadening and challenging industry equivalencies through formal and critical inquiry, and a desire to evolve Undergraduate Graphic Design study.
• An interest in current and future technologies would also be desirable.
