Job Description:
Papertree Studio is seeking a creative, dedicated and meticulous individual to work directly with the owner/lead designer Christy on a freelance, as-needed basis. Papertree Studio is a custom stationery boutique and design studio offering beautifully created paper goods including wedding invitations, stationery, graphic design as well as some printing services. If you are creative, have superior attention to detail and are a magical multi-tasker interested in stationery design please send your resume along with your portfolio.
Responsibilities:
• Create stationery design including layouts for wedding invitation suites
• Prepare files for press Assemble invitation suites
• Meet with clients for consultations
• Schedule and confirm appointments
• Administration of social media platforms
• Pack orders and prepare packages for shipping
• Create sample packs for inquiries
• Update calendar with timelines for events and production
• Run errands and mail invitations for clients (in Philadelphia)
Qualifications:
• Degree in Graphic Design with skills in illustration and layout design
• Must have experience working with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and the Mac platform 2-5 years of experience in Stationery
• Design Knowledge of wedding etiquette and proper grammar
• Exceptional understanding of typography, composition and color
• Experience with prepping files for press, the difference in paper stock and printing methods
• Eager to learn all steps of the production process (comps to show clients, pre-press, printing/cutting/assembly)
• Able to work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines
• Must display superior attention to detail, time management and be highly organized
• Must have excellent communication skills, not be afraid to ask questions and can take constructive critiques
• Knowledge of the Squarespace platform a plus
• Knowledge of letterpress printing a plus
• Must be able to work out of our South Jersey studio 2 days a week
