Job Description:
This position requires a deep understanding of WordPress core functionality and custom theme development. Applicants must have 5+ years experience and the proven ability to create code that is clean, logical, well-documented, and reusable.
The Developer will work closely with clients, designers, and the research team to discover a project’s needs and present actionable solutions. Individuals must have a strong understanding of how analytics can inform the design and content architecture of a website and be able to present ideas for innovation and efficiency. The Developer will also work collaboratively with designers and provide suggestions on best practices throughout the website build and launch.
We are looking for someone with:
- Advanced skills in PHP and Javascript/jQuery. You don’t need to be a ninja, but you should know how to play with arrays.
- Experience creating Custom Post Types and Taxonomies, and creating relationships between them
- Attention to detail white creating pixel perfect layouts from design flats
- Solid Front-end Development and Best Practices relating to HTML and CSS (scss)
- Experience with package management systems and task runners (Composer, npm, gulp, etc.)
- Experience using APIs, End-Points, JSON
- Experience with Git
- Experience with deployments and automated procedures

- Experience with Bourbon, Neat, Flexbox
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields and Tribe Events WordPress Plugins
- Server management on AWS
- Experience with REST API
