Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
• Working with the Vice President, create compelling design solutions for all POPS campaigns while sticking to the scope of a project, its budget, and approved POPS brand aesthetic.
• Primary responsibility for website updates.
• Design creatively branded graphics that identify a specific product, communicate a cohesive idea, and highlight branding requirements for multiple media platforms.
• Assist in the creation of video content, including editing and motion graphics.
• Brainstorm and research information and materials to plan concepts for design.
• Determine colors, images, text style, and shapes to produce POPS branded assets in alignment with Branding Guidelines.
• Interact with the internal POPS team to best determine and analyze the scope of a project and/or campaign.
• Obtain approval of initial concept by submitting rough design layout.
• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing.
• Upon final design approval and project completion, prepare files for printing as specified by printing partner, ensuring team deadlines are met.
• Develop and maintain strong, productive, and collaborative relationships with other departments, consultants, and partners.
• Conduct research on competitors and market trends.
• Stay on top of new software and design tools.

Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of experience in graphic design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and After Effects); experience with email distribution platforms like WordFly, Mailchimp, or Prospect2 is a plus.
• Knowledge of typography, color, and print production and familiarity with animation and GIF creation.
• Knowledge of video editing.
• Experience with website CMS platforms.
• Copy editing experience is a plus.
• Significant experience in designing print and digital assets to promote the performing arts or other artistic programming. Innovation, creativity, time management, and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience communicating through visual design to solve unique needs and excellent verbal communication with colleagues to achieve efficient results.
• Openness to creative direction and a willingness to experiment with different creative approaches.
• Passion for the performing arts and a belief in the importance of arts education and arts access.
• Preferred: Experience working with external design professionals, printers, and mail houses on creative projects to meet deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Benefits and Salary:
$45,000 – $50,000
