In support of the in-house Marketing & Creative Services team, the Graphic Design Independent Contractor will provide support for the Chamber’s marketing activities.

The Graphic Designer will work with other Creative Services team members to develop themes and graphics for programs and events, design print and digital materials within existing graphic themes, and complete other one-off projects as they arise. The Graphic Designer will be expected to work approximately 10-15 hours per week, but should have the flexibility to work additional hours if necessary.

Responsibilities:
• Support our Creative Services team in the delivery of professional, timely work to internal clients in various design formats
• Typical projects include but are not limited to:
– Digital graphics for email, web, and social media marketing
– Event invitations, agendas, slide decks, program books, signage, and other promotional materials
– Animations and video production on an as-needed basis
• Work in a range of styles, media, and applications while presenting a clean aesthetic style and maintaining the organizational brand standards
• Version existing work into new assets, including resizing and reformatting
• Provide additional support to marketing efforts, programs, events, and other Chamber initiatives as needed

Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of applicable experience in graphic design, advertising design, or related field
• Due to this being an off-site, remote position, regular communication and responsiveness is critical, especially for time-sensitive, event-based designs. This includes alerting the Chamber’s Creative Services staff of any schedule changes that may affect deliverables.
• A good design eye with a sleek and clean aesthetic
• Experience working on digital assets across multiple projects and keeping everything organized for output
• Ability to work independently and provide creative direction
• Ability to track time accurately throughout a project
• Agency experience is a plus, not required
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) programs including Illustrator and InDesign
• Other web-based visual design platforms and media proficiency a plus
• Video production and animation skills are highly encouraged
