PRESSED: A hands-on letterpress workshop with Two Paper DollsPresented by AIGA Philadelphia in conjunction with DesignPhiladelphia
Get your hands dirty and break free of that design-in-the-digital-age rut! Under the guidance of a pressman, work hands-on with an antique Vandercook flatbed cylinder proofing press. In this small group workshop, you'll work collaboratively to combine type and image on the letterpress printed page. See how a craftsperson works with both antique movable type and modern polymer plates. Meet Founder and Creative Director, Vanessa Kreckel, tour the studio and take home your very own broadside poster! Two Paper Dolls is a letterpress and design house on the main line.
