Oh Joy Rx Blogging & Social Media Workshop
AIGA Philadelphia presents a workshop with designer and blogger, Joy Deangdeelert Cho. Launched in September 2005, the Oh Joy! blog covers inspiration & design with a focus on Joy's favorite things: design, fashion, and food. Updated 2-3 times a day, the site reaches over 18,000 unique readers a day on the main site, 36,000 readers via RSS, 25,000 Twitter followers, and an average of 850,000 page views per month. This workshop uses a small group intimate setting to focus on the main questions and obstacles you're facing with starting, maintaining, and growing a blog. Whether you're just getting started or have already started and ready to take your blog to the next level, we'll cover:-why you should blog-choosing a focus for your blog-finding your voice & point of view-blog aesthetics-content & frequency-copying & crediting-monetizing-other types of social networking-balancing blogging & work/life-and more.... Topics will be focused on the individual needs/questions of those attending.Whether you're just beginning or already have a blog... this workshop will cover all the "musts" of starting and maintaining a successful blog.While class will run from 6pm-9pm, there will be some time for individual questions and to mingle with your fellow creatives.
