Job Description:
Bailey Brand Consulting is seeking an experienced graphic/interaction Art Director who enjoys reinvigorating existing brands and bringing new brands to life across a wide range of print and digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have experience with corporate and consumer branding and the ability to communicate complex material in a compelling way. They should have strong skills in typography, page layout, infographics and illustration, UX, UI and web design. Front-end website coding, animation, and video editing experience is a plus.

• Gain a thorough understanding of client’s businesses, their categories and business sectors in order to become a value-added partner and consultant
• Conceptualize and design strategic, high-quality creative that meets/exceeds client expectations through effective and efficient direction of project team
• Communicate the strategy and thought process behind creative concepts with confidence and clarity in both internal and external presentations
• Act as a consultant, communicating with clients as needed to clarify expectations and build strong relationships that form a mutually respectful bond between the firm and our clients
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously by prioritizing and delegating tasks to the design staff; provide project and team oversight, set expectations, establish goals and timelines and monitor results
• Manage assigned design staff performance and provide regular coaching and feedback
• Identify and manage outside resources including photographers, illustrators, printers, video etc., including project oversight and pricing negotiation
• Manage resources within project timing, budget, efficiency and productivity metrics
• Consult/collaborate with internal teams to maximize project results, improve process, identify improvement opportunities and to meet/exceed client expectations
• Learn to recognize issues before they arise and act proactively with the Associate Creative director to resolve any challenges. Support the ACD by providing coverage when they are not available

• A minimum of 4 years of agency or in-house experience
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience
• Experience in both web and print design with a portfolio that demonstrates: – strong conceptual and visual design skills, including typography, composition, use of color, and strategic thinking – an eye for detail – application of latest UI and UX best practices – ability to formulate a creative vision and lead a project team
• The ability to design a wide range of materials including print, packaging, web, tradeshow, social media marketing, PowerPoint presentations and videos.
• A strong knowledge and understanding of branding and associated strategies Strong written and verbal communication skills and thrives in a collaborative team environment
• A leadership drive, is self-motivated and accountable
• Strong organizational, project, presentation and time management skills
• Experience managing other designers
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (AI, PS, ID), MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Sketch, Figma and InVision
• The ability to build web prototypes and prepare assets for development Experience using WordPress
• The ability to support client relationships through execution and presentation of assigned deliverables
