Job Description:
Pixel Parlor is an award-winning design studio in Fishtown, Philadelphia that seeks to work with mission-based clients who strive to make a positive impact on the environment, social initiatives, communities, and business. Our studio is in search of a project manager with extensive experience working in design and creative studios. Our project manager will assist in managing all aspects of print, environmental, web and social media design for a wide range of clients as well as help the leadership team manage the success of the studio. The ideal candidate should possess the desire to make an impact in a highly creative environment, while using their insight to provide our client’s with excellent communication and customer service, and a high-quality end product. This candidate should also exhibit a deep understanding of both print and digital production processes to help support a team of various experience levels and promote project success.
Responsibilities:
- Project startup in all systems
- Plan and implement projects
- Help define project scope, goals and deliverables
- Estimates and proposals
- Define tasks and required resources
- Collect and manage project team
- Balance workload
- Manage budget
- Allocate project resources
- Create schedule and project timeline
- Track deliverables
- Support and direct team
- Lead quality assurance
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
- Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs
- Evaluate and assess result of project
- Invoicing
- Client relationships
- Project closeout
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in design or communications-related field
- Project management certification
- Minimum of 4 years experience in a creative environment
- Knowledge of techniques, tools, and management and problem solving strategies
- Experience in strategic planning, risk management and/or change management
- Expertise in project management software tools
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
- Contract negotiation
- Conflict resolution experience
- Adaptability
- Able to tolerate stress
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence in basic mathematics is essential
