Job Description:
Production Designers are responsible for the technical accuracy and design completeness of final creative work product, across media types including print, digital and sometimes video. Production designers work closely with the design and art direction studio, as well as writers, to extend campaign executions, resize artwork, retouch imagery, finish files and organize final assets to keep impeccable records. Production designers also work with vendors to obtain pricing, work out specifications, manage production timetables and proofing. Production designers collaborate with client business managers or project managers to understand requirements and ensure deliverables meet those requirements on time.
Production designers report directly to the Creative Services Manager and have dotted line reporting responsibility to the Associate Creative Director. Position requires an individual with a point of view who is willing to grow and develop both design and production skills. Attributes include:

Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the accuracy and precision of all the work that leaves the creative department
- Form productive collaborations with other members of the studio, anticipating projects and supporting print, digital and video design and production
- Pick up approved campaign concepts and execute additional deliverables for media buy; as well as department-approved concepts / ideas / brand guidelines to layout or resize
- Own certain appropriate projects, as assigned, from concept through execution, revision and production
- Perform under pressure with tight turnarounds and last-minute edits. Show ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate good taste and judgment, and be able to explain your ideas
- Fluency in all design programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
- Possess eye for design, good taste and judgment
- Prepare files accurately and efficiently for vendors
- Take ownership of the proofing process
- Attend press checks as needed
- Source solutions that help out-of-the-box ideas come to life
- Create specs for projects (paper, size, printing techniques, binding, etc) and work with vendors to bid projects
- Ensure that concepts can be executed on-time and on-budget
- Meticulous file management and record keeping.
