AIGA Philly and the entire creative community of Philadelphia are shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the sudden closing of a historical institution: the University of the Arts (UArts). AIGA Philly is committed to providing support and resources to all current and prospective UArts undergraduate and graduate students as they navigate this stressful and uncertain time. 

Philly Universities Welcoming UArts Students

The following universities are offering transfer pathways to UArts Students:

  • Drexel University: is ready to help UArts students stay on track to earn their degrees and continue their development as visionary leaders of the arts world. They are hosting undergraduate and graduate virtual sessions Monday, June 10th. They are also hosting an UArts Instant Decision Day on Tuesday, June 11th 2-6PM

  • La Salle University: offers strong BA programs in Art History, Digital Arts, Communications and Business. They will be hosting a virtual transfer event on Thursday, June 6 at 3PM. Students will receive flexible credit evaluation (up to 90 cr), guaranteed financial aid and preferential housing. More information here: https://www.lasalle.edu/uarts/
  • Moore College of Arts and Design: serves women, nonbinary and gender-nonconforming art and design students. Register for the UArts Open House on Friday June 7th 10-1PM.
