Tonic Design Co. is seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our Philadelphia based creative team. The ideal candidate for this position is thoughtful, empathetic, and embraces collaboration. Weā€™re looking for a passionate user advocate with demonstrable experience leading UX design and research initiatives. Tonic will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Produce UX Deliverables including Flows, Wireframes, and Prototypes – Produce and contribute to a broad range of Strategy, UX, and Visual Design documentation.
Develop and Communicate Design Decisions and Rationales – Present design approaches and rationales to a variety of audiences including executive clients, users, design teams, and developers via storyboards, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
Contribute to Strategic Direction – Collaborate with strategists and lend a hand in the form of task-oriented analysis and workflow modeling.
Understand the User – Dive deep to uncover what users want and need, their behaviors, their goals, and their motivations. Create comprehensive user personas and journeys that include data on demographics, ethnographics, psychographics, etc.
Gather Data – Plan and lead contextual inquiries, stakeholder interviews, and focus groups.
Synthesize Findings – Compile your insights into actionable design recommendations for your team and client partners.
Communicate Clearly – Present your research findings and design rationales to internal teams and clients in a way thatā€™s easy to understand and helps better the Tonic team as a whole.

REQUIREMENTS:

3+ years proven experience in UX and Visual Design delivery, including responsive web, digital product, and app design
Proven experience producing user and market research insights, user personas and journeys, needs analyses, flows, wireframes, prototypes (and familiarity with the tools associated with those skills)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Practiced in and enthusiastic about collaboration
