Position: Design and Production Specialis

SteegeThomson Communications, a marketing communications firm with a 29-year track record and excellent client list in the national nonprofit community, seeks a highly creative Design and Production Specialist skilled in design, layout and production management and looking to expand these skills while learning about the world of nonprofit marketing. Reporting to the vice president, the Design and Production Specialist will design for both print and digital media, as well as serve as liaison to outside design and production resources. Excellent visual, organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as mastery of the full Adobe software suite, are essential.
Design Duties
- Contribute to design and visual strategy across all agency work
- Design a wide range of print and digital materials
- Design the agency’s own marketing materials and presentations
Production Management
- Estimate and manage production of projects in print, digital, video and other media; set and monitor quality standards
- Identify new resources and vendors for design, photography, videography and production
- Help maintain the agency’s own website and social media
- Help coordinate the work of project teams; track timetables and budgets
Skills
- Excellent organization, time management and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
- Ability to bring new strategic and creative approaches to projects
- Knowledge of web standards and development
- Software proficiency:
- Adobe Creative Suites 5 or higher including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver
- HTML, CSS, Javascript, Flash
- Microsoft Office
- Self-starter who, like us, is always thinking about ways to advance the client’s goals
Qualificiations
- Degree in graphic design or related field
- 1-3 years’ experience in an agency or other fast-paced, team-based environment focused on visual communication
