Job Description:
PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking an undergraduate intern to support the audio-visual needs of its communications team. PolicyLab is a research center within Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia dedicated to achieving optimal child health and well-being by informing program and policy changes through interdisciplinary research. The communications team is responsible for translating PolicyLab research and policy recommendations to internal and external audiences through a variety of online and public relations tactics. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in both expanding their communications skills and learning more about the most pressing health issues facing children and families today.
Responsibilities
- Designing graphics for social media
- Designing policy and research briefs
- Developing marketing materials for events as needed
- Assisting in PolicyLab’s video production, including writing scripts, shooting and editing videos
Qualifications
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in an organized fashion, work well with others
- Good attention to detail
- General knowledge and understanding of good clinical practice (GCP)
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications desirable
- Demonstrates the knowledge & ability to render age appropriate care & services based on the patient and/or their developmental needs
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Premier, Photoshop and Illustrator
- High School Graduate
- 1-2 prior internships or paid experiences on clinical research studies
- Enrolled in undergraduate program at a 2 or 4 year college or university
