Job Description:
Pixel Parlor is a multi-disciplinary design studio in Fishtown, Philadelphia that seeks to work with mission-based clients who strive to make a positive impact on the environment, social initiatives, and business.Our studio is in search of an interactive designer to help with a variety of complex, visually compelling, websites and interactive media for a wide range of clients. The ideal candidate should possess the desire to make an impact in a highly creative environment and work both independently and within a close-knit team. The interactive designer will possess the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and collaborators, the vision to create organized materials, and the capacity to deliver a high-quality product to both the client and end-user.

Responsibilities:

Website visual comps (desktop & mobile)
Design of digital assets (advertisements, apps, social)
IA: Site mapping, wireframing, problem solving
UX: Personas, user paths, testing
Creating visioning and digital road map documents
Identifying and determining technical requirements
Minor website updates
Squarespace production
Interactive website user manuals
Client interaction via presentations, emails and phone
Occasional writing and editing of content
Creating Google Docs for content blueprints and templates

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in interactive design or graphic design
3-5 years experience in interactive design
A highly developed portfolio
A strong sense of typography
An illustrative approach to design and color
Excellent communication and writing skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to manage the demands of working on multiple projects at the same time
Detail-oriented and organized
Ability to work both independently and within a team
Comfortable presenting and receiving critique
Experience in all aspects of Adobe Creative Cloud
WordPress experience
Passion for implementing industry best practices
An intuitive understanding of IA/UX
Comfortable with video and audio integration
Understanding of HTML + CSS
Experience working with developers
Motion design and video editing is a bonus
