Personal Branding Series: Alter Ego Workshop by Meg Niman

Join us at AIGA Philadelphia for a workshop to define and create an alter ego: You, as the next level design professional you want to be.

Watch Meg Niman explain what this looks like HERE.

SO WHAT IS AN ALTER EGO? AN ALTER EGO IS ANOTHER SIDE OF YOURSELF.

It’s that simple. We all show up to different situations as different versions of ourselves. An alter ego is one of those other sides of yourself—we just bother to define it, understand its power, and name it.

ABOUT MEG NIMAN
She spent 17 years designing and shipping technology products at LeapFrog, Tellme, Microsoft/Xbox, Fitbit, NIO, Lighthaus (educational VR), and IndeVets.

She knows product design and user research. She has experience working at small startups (4th hire), growing companies, and massive corporations. In all these professional situations, she found herself looking for more meaning in life.

Enter alter egos.

"While building a successful consulting business in Philadelphia, I wielded the power of alter egos in contract negotiations and new leadership roles.

Prior to my tech adventure, I taught elementary school in San Jose with Teach For America and have a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I graduated Wellesley College with a degree in Cognitive Science with a focus in Psychology.

I am a creative person who took a sabbatical to travel the US in an RV with my wife and dog and made a short film inspired by the whole affair. I’m also a certified 200-hour yoga teacher, a fun-loving community musician, and a local hiker."
