AIGA is the professional organization for design, and our mission is to advance design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force. AIGA Philadelphia is your local design community, and through our various events and initiatives we support you in strengthening our profession and your place in the field.
AIGA Philadelphia is a 100% volunteer-run, non-profit effort. More importantly, we are a design community that welcomes all—graphic designers, illustrators, UX/UI designers, printers, project managers, copywriters, educators, students, in-house, you name it! Your participation only strengthens this community.
There are three key ways to help:

FAQs
Q: Isn’t AIGA a dues-based organization? A: We are. However, only a small portion of our operations are covered by dues—we rely on sponsors, event ticket sales, and other sources of income to cover most of our operational costs. It’s also important to highlight that AIGA Philadelphia only perceives a fraction of dues paid, the remainder is used to give you access to our national initiatives and benefits.
Q: I’m not a member, can I give? A: Of course! Membership is important to help us grow the organization, but we support the design community at large, and we strive to make everyone feel welcomed whether they are members or not.
Q: I can only give a couple of dollars, will it make a difference? A: Of course! Every gift counts, no matter how small or big. Your can participate and demonstrate your commitment to the design community at any level.
Q: Is my gift tax-deductible? A: We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so your gift should be deductible. You should consult with your tax expert to confirm how much of your gift is deductible and whether you need any documentation (we can provide a letter of non-profit letter of formation).
Q: What will you do with the money? A: All gifts are considered unrestricted and will be used for our general operations, as needed. If you would like to give more selectively, you can give to our scholarship fund. But don’t worry, as a non-profit we have checks and balances to make sure all money is used to support the organization’s mission.
