Job Description:
The American College of Physicians (ACP) is looking to hire a Data Visualization/UI Developer for the Digital Products & Services department. ACP, a national organization of internists with headquarters in Philadelphia, is the largest medical specialty organization and the second-largest physician group in the United States with 154,000 members worldwide.
Responsibilities:
The Data Visualization/UI Developer is responsible for the design and development of user interfaces (UI) and UI components of customer-facing interactive products of the ACP, including but not limited to online self-assessment products, digital publications, and other online and mobile products of the ACP. This role will emphasize interactive visualizations and UI solutions for navigation and display of quantified data sets.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, preferably in the area of digital design, web development, data science, or another field related to UX/UI design and development or interactive data visualizations. Qualified candidates will have experience designing and developing data-rich web applications utilizing current client-side technologies. Particular emphasis on interactive data visualizations and data-rich UIs is highly desirable. Prior experience must include:
  • UX analysis and design
  • UI design and development utilizing current, responsive layout-techniques/frameworks
  • Client-side interactivity development utilizing current techniques/frameworks
  • Digital graphic design/development, especially data graphics and data visualizations
  • Some involvement in data analysis/modeling for visualizations
