The graphic designer develops and produces a broad range of design collateral to support the university’s marketing objectives including student recruitment, alumni engagement, and fundraising.
The incumbent will have significant interaction with division colleagues, the university community, and outside vendors. The graphic designer works collaboratively with department and division colleagues to support and advance the mission of the university through design solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or related field; 1 year professional experience in graphic design; Expert in Adobe Creative Suite and Quark Xpress applications on Macintosh platform; Knowledge of pre-press and print practices; Proven ability to work independently and handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; Strong attention to detail, a sense of aesthetics and creativity; Proven ability to communicate visually, verbally, and in writing; Proven ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

2 years professional experience in graphic design; Knowledge of HTML and CSS; Academic in-house design department experience; Proven commitment to quality; Proven problem-solving and time management skills; Experience managing multiple and complex projects.
