Pixel Parlor is a mission-based studio that is proud to be a B Corp. We focus on branding, web design, print design, and digital advertising for businesses and organizations large and small. Our clients range from non-profits, professional organizations, performing arts, and film, to industrial and professional services companies.We are a friendly, collaborative studio in Fishtown, Philadelphia who seeks to engage with clients, collaborators, and creatives who enjoy working with a congenial, fun, and creative team.We are in search of a WordPress front-end developer to work directly with our senior front-end developer to help support our interactive team. Our new developer will have a creative background, excellent communication skills, a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, a deep knowledge of technology, and a love of collaboration.
This individual will work with our interactive team to build new WordPress sites, help maintain and fix existing sites, and innovate new digital solutions for our clients.Paste job description here.
Responsibilities:
- Confident and skilled with HTML/CSS
- Some knowledge of JS/PHP/SQL
- 2-4 years experience in the field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Expertise with WordPress theming and plugins.
- Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience with various web hosting environments (shared, private, cloud, etc)
- Experience with version control and GIT
- SEO knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects at a time
- Flexible personality who can take direction and constructive criticism, works independently and can dhere to quick-turn deadlines
- Expert problem solver with a passion for learning
- A highly-developed body of work and positive attitude
- Excellent written communication skills
- Excellent time and task management
- Experience using industry-standard project management
tools (Trello, Basecamp, etc.)
Qualifications:
- Styling and layout of WordPress sites via Photoshop visual comps
- Implementation and configuration of WordPress plugins
- Balancing multiple projects with a variety of clients from technical specs to developing, testing, launch, and instructional documentation
- Collaborate with studio partners and management on all aspects of our website design process
- Manage day-to-day edits and changes to existing client sites
