Job Description:
Chick Invitations & Design is currently seeking seasoned graphic designers with experience designing Stationery for weddings and events to hire on a freelance, per-contract basis. Prefer candidates with current availability to work 10-15 hours per week. Work will be predominantly remote with occasional meetings in our Old City Philadelphia office. Designer must work well both independently and as part of a team. Because of the varied nature of our projects and our small team, this designer must be flexible, resourceful, and eager to go above and beyond call of duty. Must be familiar with wedding invitation etiquette, grammar and spelling.
Responsibilities:
Duties will include: independently creating designs for stationery items according to provided specifications. Including wedding and event stationery, announcements, and holiday cards creating marketing materials, packaging, and other collateral items
Required Skills:
- Minimum 2-5 years experience with event Stationery specifically
- Proficiency in Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop in a mac environment.
- Insane attention to detail
- Great taste and understanding of stationery design
- Exceptional understanding of typography, composition, and color theory
- Experience with preparing files for print and using different papers and printing methods
- Able to meet tight deadlines and mange time
- Self starter, good listener, quick learner
