Rose DiSanto

Community + Civic Engagement Director

Rose is a designer, teacher, and incurable volunteer. She is principal of DiSanto Design, a design firm based in Philadelphia whose client roster includes nonprofit, education and arts-based clients like New England Conservatory of Music and The Steppingstone Foundation. Rose currently teaches graphic design at Philadelphia University and does volunteer work in the Philadelphia public schools. Through AIGA Philly, Rose founded the city’s first mentoring program that pairs seasoned professionals with emerging designers. She is currently spearheading Civic + Community Engagement—a new initiative that seeks to engage our membership of creative thinkers, problem solvers and designers with the greater community at large. And since 1989, Rose has volunteered as a summer camp counselor with Paul Newman’s The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut. Rose holds a degree in Visual Communications from the University of Delaware and a Masters in Education from Harvard University. She resides in Philadelphia with her husband, Stephen—except for a week in July, when she’s usually covered with paint in the arts and crafts studio at Camp.
