Society of Design Conference
The Society of Design Conference is a one-day, multidisciplinary design event featuring leading creatives who shape culture around the world. Inspiring, motivating, and spellbinding presentations that will very likely shift the way you think about design.

Several of the featured speakers are visiting from Europe, helping to make the day’s presentations a truly unique opportunity. Nick Asbury (England) has been described by Creative Review magazine as ‘The designer’s writer,’ Annie Atkins (Ireland) has designed graphics for two Oscar-nominated films, the animated feature The Boxtrolls and Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel (Academy Award for Best Production Design), and Oskar Zieta’s (Poland) efforts in industrial design are permanently exhibited in Centre Pompidou in Paris, among others.

The featured speakers from the U.S. include lettering superstars Spencer Charles and Kelly Thorn, internationally-awarded architect Craig Dykers from Snøhetta, interaction and media designer John Ryan from Local Projects, and multi-talented Alisa Wolfson, Head of Design at Leo Burnett, Chicago.

A lineup to rival any of the world’s best design conferences.

The Society of Design Conference is a signature event of the 11th annual DesignPhiladelphia festival that takes place October 8–16, 2015.
