Job Description:
Mighty Engine is a full-service marketing communications firm that provides innovative branding, advertising and digital solutions to both non-profit organizations and for-profit corporations. We are in the process of searching for a smart, driven and creative designer to join our team of strategists, copywriters and developers. The right candidate must be able to work full-time from our Old City office.

Chief Responsibilities and Duties:
The graphic designer is responsible for the quality and timely production of a wide range of graphic designs for print products and digital media. Duties include:

Understanding client communications challenges and developing innovative solutions for these challenges
Creating and extending brands
Collaborating with colleagues to create stellar creative concepts and ad campaigns
Developing print and digital media designs from start to finish
Managing specific design projects
Supporting the company’s sales process in securing clients by helping to put together Keynote presentations, graphically designed proposals and, when required, creative comps
Working with local printers to determine appropriate printing process, structure, stock and color samples for collateral pieces, securing estimates and ensuring printing timeline and delivery

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must have:

Strong concept development and graphic design ability
Excellent understanding of composition, color and typography
Ability to effectively search for stock images; conduct photo touch ups when needed
Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
Ability to effectively decipher and extract relevant information from clients to inform design work, create mood boards and develop other tools to ensure client participation and feedback
Experience in high-quality print production, including paper and printing methods, color and image management
Ability to communicate effectively when interacting with clients
Ability to manage projects and work under intense pressure to meet deadlines
Ability to read and develop printing specifications and submission processes
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
Superb organizational habits
A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts or similar coursework
Experience working in a busy design studio or agency environment is a plus
Basic knowledge of HTML and After Effects is a plus
