Make Your Own Luck: Kate Moross
Tired of sitting at your desk wondering how to carve out your own place in the art world? On March 26, internationally renowned artist Kate Moross will discuss (and sign copies of) her new book, Make Your Own Luck: A DIY Attitude to Graphic Design and Illustration. Moross has spent her career creating amazing artwork for companies like Adidas, Vogue, Paul Smith, Samsung Olympics 2012, Wired, The Guardian, Google, Converse, and Ray Ban. Through her London-based studio, Kate has also made her mark as an art director and designer for artists such as Jessie Ware and Simian Mobile Disco. Her powerful videos successfully convey a wide range of emotions that fulfill the studio's motto of "Making Music Look Good." Kate’s work will be on display at AIGA Philly SPACE from March 1st–31st with support from The Phoenix Group. The exhibit, entitled: "Everything Must Go" will showcase selections from her work as well as some newly comissioned pieces. Items will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting AIGA Philly and a First Friday reception will be held on March 7. This event is co-sponsored by the University of Delaware Department of Art.
